Unable to sponsor H1B's at this time. Travel: 25-50%, should taper off over time. The Software Services group seeks an experienced and highly motivated BI Sr. Developer to take a leadership role in shaping and executing Finances Planning and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives. The Architect is responsible for the overall design and architecture of the companys Planning and BI systems, including data integrations, SQL development and report delivery. The candidate will primarily work closely with the Finance Systems and FP&A groups to define requirements and develop technical solutions. During the project lifecycle the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, IT developers and analysts to ensure successful delivery of key projects. The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end. This position reports to the BI Manager. Other responsibilities: Assist in documenting functional and technical requirements. Assist users with test scripts for user acceptance testing Develop test plans with IT for each deployment release and maintain constant communication with the business groups throughout the deployment cycle Manage and participate in user acceptance testing for each release Assist in other projects as required Qualifications & Experience Expert Knowledge / Experience in Cognos Tools: Frame work Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Metrics Studio, Alert Studio, Power play Highly analytical candidate, skilled troubleshooter, highly developed technical and problem solving skills with the proven ability to provide creative and effective solutions through the cognos applications Expert and proficient in Multidimensional OLAP technologies -Ability to support and move forward multiple concurrent projects Technical knowledge regarding best practices of cognos development / integration and customization including cognos SDK B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science (other majors acceptable with requisite experience) Extensive experience in Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, OLAP engines, data integrations using ETL tools such as Data Manager, reporting, dashboards and scorecards Minimum 4 years Experience as a Cognos Architect/developer Experience in performing FX Translations, Allocations, Capex/Depreciation/HR calculations such as Payroll taxes, benefit rates, 401K, etc.. Strong understanding of .net COM+ applications Good understanding of MS IIS is a plus Strong Advanced SQL programming skills are required 12+ years experience in Information Systems and Technology Knowledge and experience in the development & deployment of data warehouse architecture for large data volumes and complex reporting solutions using Cognos Combination of experience in systems/IT working with accounting or finance a plus. Financial systems knowledge such as Oracle applications including GL, AP, FA, HR and Discoverer preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people using strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency using Excel and Access required Thank you for your time and consideration.
