FINANCIAL ANALYST 3 - Excel Superuser, Capital Investment, Budgeting, Discounted Cashflow Experience

 

LOCATION:  Portland OR

 

PERM PLACEMENT/ FULL TIME EMPLOYEE

 

START DATE:   TWO WEEKS FROM OFFER BEING MADE

 

SALARY RANGE:   $80,000 -  $90,000

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

 Supports development and maintenance of the company budget and performs corporate finance functions by communicating and working well across the organization, performing complex modeling, and assisting the Finance Director with all financial planning and analysis functions for the company. 

 

KEY POINTS:

 

·          Strong FP&A and General Finance experience

 

·          Discounted cashflow

 

·          EXCEL superuser (must be an advanced user)

 

·          System Implementation a plus (will be installing a new finance  system likely next year)

 

·          Capital Investment a priority

 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Administer company budgeting process to include budget setup, modeling, variance analyses and liaison with accounting and operations department personnel.

  1. Complete strategic and financial modeling to support financial and business development needs.
  1. Maintain investor presentation materials and assist in the raising of funds
  1. Assist in accounting processes as necessary.
  1. Participate as needed in special department projects.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

Safety and security : Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES :

  • Education : A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA with emphasis in Finance strongly preferred.
  • Experience : A minimum of five years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in energy or utility field, an MBA may offset some years’ experience.
  • Industry Requirements : Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
  • Overall Job Knowledge and Performance :  Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with an emphasis on coordinating conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Skills : Strong technical writing skills. Good communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.
  • Quality Assurance : Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
